Somerset, N.J. – NCQLP Exam Review. This three-day workshop is designed to help participants prepare for the Lighting Certified (LC) exam administered by the National Council on Qualifications for the Lighting Professions (NCQLP) in November. Held at the Philips’ Lighting Application Center, the course focuses on study and exam-taking strategies, analysis, and practice of typical questions and key topics in the design process as well as a review of technology, regulatory compliance, and financial analysis. At the end of the sessions, students should be able to identify strengths and weaknesses covered in the exam. Participants are expected to secure the recommended texts for the exam and begin the study process. Fee: $525. Toronto – LED Lighting Application workshop. Held at the LIGHTPOINT Learning Institute of Osram SYLVANIA, this session covers fundamentals, light and color metrics, application of LEDs in commercial and residential projects and designing with LEDs. Detroit – Trends in LED Lighting seminar. The Kirlin Company’s “Don’t Be MisLED” session is for lighting specifiers, architects, interior designers, electrical engineers, and facility planners. Held at the Reflection Point showroom, it focuses on construction, characteristics, advantages, applications, and limitations as well as how to choose an LED fixture.
