On The Cover

The highest honor in Cooper Lighting’s annual SOURCE Awards in the Commercial Projects category went to Donald Gallegos, IES of ASCG Inc. of New Mexico for the Dulce Health Care Center.
This two-story facility in northern New Mexico makes a grand statement right from the main entrance. Shown here is the lobby, which features a sunburst- patterned skylight.
Along with the natural daylight, cove and downlights were installed to balance the illumination. The top of the rotunda incorporates staggered, 2-lamp, strip fluores- cent cove lights from Metalux set completely around the lobby. The balcony is equipped with 6-inch Portfolio 42-watt CFL downlights, while Portfolio’s 8-inch 2-lamp, 42-watt CFL downlights highlight the first level.
